June is upon us and we have two community service projects. (Please note for those who experience difficulty signing up on Goggle Docs, we are working on providing sign up directly on our Club Website, which everyone can use) I hope to see a strong turnout for these two events. Sign up sheet

"Service Above Self" #1

Highway Clean up Cascade Highway mile marker 5-6 Saturday June 12th 9am -12pm Easy fun project and it only takes a couple of hours.

We plan on making it even more fun with a BBQ afterwards. Would like to get a large turnout and we could clean up an extra 1/4 mile section on one side the really needs it. Sign up and more information will be forthcoming. Sign up sheet

# 2. Cook Dinner at Ronald McDonald House Numerous dates in June

Once again Ronald McDonald House is looking for folks willing to cook a dinner for the moms and dads staying their while their newborns who are often weeks or months early are in the hospital.

You can cook with another couple (4 people total). We didn't have such a great showing last month only 3 Rotarians. Let's see if we can't make a better showing this month. All of the particulars can be seen on the Sign up Sheet.

Please mark your calendars and save the date because in-person meetings of the Rotary Club of Greater Bend resume on 6 July 2021.

As in the past, meetings will be at Riverhouse from noon to 1:15. Arrive early and see if you can recognize your old (and now older) Rotarian colleagues and friends.

This will be the first meeting for the club's new President Gary Meyer. The meeting program will be a State of the Club address with short presentations by Board members and President Gary.

Most importantly this will be an opportunity to actually speak face to face with your fellow club members. Per most recent guidance from CDC, Governor Brown's office and Rotary International, no masks are required if you have been vaccinated.

If you haven't been vaccinated, please consider doing so before the 6 July meeting. If you have been vaccinated but feel more comfortable continuing to wear a mask, please do so. We will also attempt to zoom the meeting for those who cannot make it in person.

IMPORTANT: We are trying to get a head count for meals, please let us know if you will be attending this meeting so that we can be sure that we don't over or under order the number of meals. We will be sending out an RSVP sign up sheet for the whole month of July so that we can give the Riverhouse a headcount.
