Website Issues
You may have noticed the club's website and the Pints for Polio websites have been down today. Our server at BlueHost was hacked, and malware installed in a number of folders on the site. BlueHost detected that, and shut both sites down so that visitors wouldn't get infected.
BlueHost is in the middle of cleaning it all up; say thanks to Todd Cary when you see him for shepherding us through this with BlueHost's tech support.
We do NOT store credit card numbers or any sort of payment information on our servers. Anything you've ever registered for or paid for on our site has gone off to PayPal for the actual transaction, so there's no risk of your credit card info getting stolen.
Our server does however have our club members' names, emails, and phone numbers. Because of the particular hacking approach appeared to just use scripts to copy a whole bunch of malware files onto the server, we don't think it's likely that anyone copied any data from the server, but there is a possibility. But the member directory information could possibly have been taken.
