Lunch meeting at the Convention Side of the Riverhouse

Our December 14th meeting will be one of celebration as we honor those members who have achieved Paul Harris status by giving $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation (or a multiple thereof).

We will also hear from some of our newest members as they give us a glimpse into who they are and what they like to do.

It's always the best program when we can celebrate and learn about our members at the same meeting!

This meeting will both in-person at the Riverhouse Convention Center – Room Cascade AJ, and virtual. Join the Zoom Meeting here: RCGB Zoom Link

You can also call in to the meeting at (669) 900-9128 and enter meeting ID: 692 491 9146. If you're asked, the passcode is 5110.

We will record the presentation for others who aren't able to attend at noon.

The Bend area clubs have teamed up with the Salvation Army for many years to put on the Tree of Joy. This year, like last year, we're not able to have a physical presence in the Old Mill, and so we're running it all online like we did last year.

We have 200 kiddos on our list so far--expecting around 700, like we had last year. If you'd like to help an underprivileged child in our community have a really great Christmas, hop on over to the Tree of Joy website and pick one or more children to buy gifts for:

Last week we successfully elected the following for positions starting July 1, 2022:

Last week President Gary announced that Amanda Ferrari has been proposed for membership in the RCGB.

Amanda has been in Bend for about 15 years. She is sponsored by Bruce Plummer. She’s very familiar with Rotary as her husband is in the Wednesday club. She is with Duke Warner Realty and is also involved in the community through Miller Elementary.

Please contact Terri Shephard if you have anything you'd like to comment on.

If all goes well, Amanda will be our first inductee in 2022!

The December 21 RCGB Board meeting time and location is being changed to accommodate the RCGB Christmas Party/Happy Hour on the same day.

The new meeting time for the Board meeting is noon - 1:30 pm. Location will be Tom Combs' home (1027 NW Stonepine Drive). Please park on the sidewalk side.

Join us on December 21, 2021 4pm - 6pm in the Riverhouse Convention Center for a holiday celebration. We couldn't do it last year but we have much to be thankful for this year.

Members are free and guests are $25. Besides appetizers, each guest will get two drink tickets. Please sign up for this event and do so as soon as possible as we need to provide the Riverhouse with a head count.

Sign up for the party here.

There is no lunch meeting on the 21st.

We will be dark (no meeting) on Tuesday, December 28 so that our members can enjoy the holidays.

We'll see everyone next year at our first lunch meeting on January 4th, Happy New Year!

President Gary has set a goal for our club's donations to The Rotary Foundation and is tracking it weekly. You can set up to have a monthly or quarterly amount deducted automatically from your bank account, or make an annual donation.

You can donate at a weekly meeting or go online to make your donation.

If you haven't done so yet, you still have time to make your end of year charitable donation to the Rotary Foundation.

As announced at our August 24 meeting, all club members and guests attending in-person club meetings must be vaccinated.

The same requirement has been made for all speakers who address our club at in-person meetings. Speakers will need to be vaccinated. Unvaccinated members who are interested in staying active in the club can attend meetings virtually using zoom.
