Greetings, Pacific Northwest District Key Clubbers!

As we move closer to graduations, summer vacations, and delve deeper into the month of June, I hope that you all are enjoying the sunny weather the Pacific Northwest has been experiencing lately. Along with the summertime, two specific events come to mind: Officer Training Conferences and Key Club Days. In this update, you will learn more about Officer Training Conferences which are hosted by your lieutenant governor and our upcoming Key Club Days which will include some exciting changes for 2019.

As always, feel free to reach out to me at if you have any questions!

Officer Training Conferences, otherwise known as OTCs, are coming up soon. If an OTC hasn’t already been held in your division, one should be coming up in the next few weeks. OTCs provide club officers with an opportunity to receive high-quality training developed by our immediate-past executive officers and your division’s lieutenant governor. The curriculum includes more than just reviewing the duties of each officer position. OTCs provide a deeper understanding of what it takes effectively lead your club in the new school year and the information expands on what you may have learned at DCON 2019 because it is tailored to meet the needs of clubs in your division. Lieutenant governors are committed to making OTCs extremely valuable for the officers that attend and I ask that every club make an effort to attend!

Your divisional OTC agenda may include an icebreaker, Key Club 101, the responsibilities of club officers, team dynamics for your collective success, goal setting… and more!

For more information on your OTC, including when and where yours will be held, contact your lieutenant governor. If you are unable to attend an OTC organized by your lieutenant governor, please reach out to them and figure out how your club can still benefit from the information that will be presented. Speaking on behalf of all of our lieutenant governors, we are so excited to see you, get to know you, and help you accomplish your goals this year as a club officer.
Key Club Day ticket sales are now live at! Key Club Days will be held this year on Saturday, September 7th in Federal Way, WA, Saturday, September 14th in Portland, OR, and Saturday, September 28th in Spokane, WA. Please use the information listed below to promote a Key Club Day in your area at your final meetings before school adjourns for the summer.

I am very excited for our second year of Key Club Days because we have a multitude of exciting new opportunities for members. We hope to improve the experience of attendees, mainly through three key improvements. First, we will encourage all attendees to wear their division’s spirit gear, participate in spirit battles before the opening session, and engage with each other in a more cohesive way. Second, we released tickets earlier this year with the intention that clubs would promote early bird ticket sales to members before the school year ends. Our hope is that you will be able to encourage members who usually would not stay active or informed with Key Club over the summer to attend. Lastly, we are introducing ‘Meet your LTG’ sessions where divisions will be able to gather for a short period of time and participate in an activity led by your division’s LTG.

Aside from these new and exciting improvements, we would also like to highlight our new featured speakers and the first annual Key Club Day East. Key Club Days North and South’s keynote speaker this year is Sahil Punamia. Sahil is a professional mentor who focuses on developing life skills and preparing you for the college admissions process. He hosted some of our most highly rated workshops at DCON 2019 in Seattle WA, and will focus on tools for being for an effective student leader. Key Club Day East’s keynote speaker will be Hoan Do. Hoan is a former Key Clubber from Division 33, American Ninja Warrior contestant, and motivational speaker. He spoke at our Key Club Days last year and will certainly leave you more motivated for the new school year.

On behalf of the District Board, we are so excited to see many of you at our second annual round of Key Club Days. Dates can be found below or at
