Guidelines for Preparing Quilt Tops for Long Arm Quilting
The top should be straight on all four sides and pressed. Placing a safety pin at the top center would be very helpful.
The back should be trimmed straight on all four sides, should be a total of 8-10 inches bigger than the top (for example, if top is 45 x 50, back should be 53 x 58 to 55 x 60) and pressed. Putting a safety pin at the top center would be very helpful.
Fold the top and back separately, as they go on the machine separately, and place in a bag.
Batting does not need to be included.
If you want the quilt returned to you, please include a note with your name.
If the binding is included with the quilt top and back, the strips should be cut 2.5 inches wide.
Check your email before leaving for the quilt drop off in case something changes. Weather in Colorado is very unpredictable.
