Bags for BACA
Cut fabric 20" x 44" - leaving selvages on.
Press under 2-1/4" on short edges. (Selvage ends - if no selvage, finish with 1/4" seam.)
Stitch 1-1/4" from fold on short edges through all layers
Place a 22" length of ribbon or cord inside the fold close to stitching.
Stitch again across short edge - along selvage close to edge (or along finished edge) (Fig 1).
Secure ribbon at center (Fig 2)
Fold bag in half, wrong sides together, stitch both sides, skipping over ribbon casing area. (Fig 2)
Draw up ribbons and tie bows on the sides
Finished size is approximately 20" x 20".
