Our to-be-quilted bins are overflowing with nearly 100 quilts!! These do not need to be done on a long arm. If you are interested in picking some up, they will be available on the 17th at the drop off.
If you can't make the drop off, but would like some quilts, reply to this email and Cathy will set you up with quilts and batting!
The Valentine's Day dance is on February 11, 2022. If you have quilts finished for the dance, please turn then in on the 17th.
Barbara Carlson was approached by the mother of a current Craig patient. Her son received one of our outstanding quilts...he is paralyzed. The mother became aware of a charity in Florida that makes pillowcases for hospitals, and she wondered if we'd be interested in doing that too.
This is NOT a requirement, but if you are making a quilt for Craig and have some extra fabric, you might think about it.
Barbara has come up with a simplified pattern, without the small accent. It takes a 28 inch piece of fabric and a 9 inch piece for the cuff. Just fold the cuff piece in half and sew to the right side of the body. Then fold right sides together and sew the sides and bottom. Turn Right side out and press, DONE!
Alma Lee, a former member of FHQ, passed away in Florida on January 1st, 2022, due to the flu. She loved golfing and outdoor life in Florida. She was a bubbly and positive person that brought sunshine to our sew days.
