Update on Uni Connect young learner work
We are delighted to have delivered over 1300 activities this year and to have engaged over 500 target learners on our programme – our highest ever figure since the start of Uni Connect! This month we have wrapped up several of our programmes including our Brightside online mentoring programmes with partner universities and our final Mindmapper programmes. However, as we finalise and evaluate most programmes, we are excited for 11 students from Havering Sixth Form to begin their journey on a Maths support programme through Middlesex University – ‘Levelling Up’, which will run until the end of the academic year.
Update on Uni Connect strategic outreach work
We ran a one day summer school, hosted by Middlesex, on June 8th for students from Barking & Dagenham College and Havering Sixth Form College. Staff and/or student ambassadors from Middlesex, University of Greenwich, Birkbeck, University of London, and New College of the Humanities all contributed to the day and 46 students attended.
Via our match funded projects, several small groups of underrepresented learners are working with a range of our university partners throughout June and July.
