God with Us  
This time of year, Christmas is all around us and one of the best parts for me is the holiday music. There are many songs I enjoy but one of my favorites is the haunting melody of O Come, O Come, Emmanuel. The words were based on a poem with its roots as far back as 15^th Century France. The original text created the reserve acrostic “ero cras," which means “O shall be with you tomorrow.” This sentiment is particularly appropriate as we remember that Jesus came, is with us now, and will return at the second advent. The actual composer of the music for one of the world’s most popular carols is anonymous, yet we can rejoice because God is known to us and is with us. ~ Debbie Muthersbaugh, dean

Psychology Club
At Barn Party, Psychology Club hosted a booth that featured corn hole and the crowd favorite: Italian ices, colored/flavored according to the 5 emotions from the Pixar movie, Inside Out.

Education club booth provided yummy pumpkin pie for sale at the recent Barn Party. It was a big hit and the pie completely sold out! (Pictured Aleah and Katie.)

Discovery Preschool Gets a Visit from Education Students
This week, Intro to Education students had a learning lab in Smith Hall’s Discovery Preschool.
Both groups of students enjoyed this visit, as Intro to Education students had a chance to apply their growing knowledge of classroom culture, and Preschool students met new friendly faces to read and learn with.
