Weekly e-News for Students, Faculty, Staff, and Community

Realizing my need for extra wisdom lately, I've spent more time in the Book of Wisdom, as Proverbs is sometimes known. There I came across the thought in chapter 27 verse 19 about the purpose of reflection. I remember as a child being fascinated by what could be seen reflected in a mirror. Although the mirror shows an imperfect reverse image, it does indicate what is on the outside such as the shape of my eye glasses or some unruly hair that may need combing. But Proverbs reminds us that if we really want to know an accurate account of a person's motives and character, all we need to do is look at how a person lives their life. I pray for the reflection in my heart to be one of kindness and service to others, sustained by my ongoing relationship with Jesus. ~ Debbie Muthersbaugh, Dean

As water reflects the face, so one's life reflects the heart. ~ Proverbs 27:19
