Special Announcement -
City Council Candidate Forum This Monday

This year's election features a special Doraville city council race to fill Robert Patrick's vacant seat.

Susan and Ben will be hosting a virtual forum this year for the council candidates via Zoom. All candidates have been invited, and the forum will be moderated by an impartial third party who does not live in Doraville.

The forum will be held on Monday, October 5th at 7pm. Register to attend at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_PNtGke-IQ2ubKHuafrHnGA

As a reminder, these are the candidates for this seat:

Dropbox for Absentee Ballots is Available at City Hall

If you requested an absentee ballot in this election, but are nervous about putting it in the mail, you will be happy to learn that the Dekalb County Board of Elections has put a ballot drop box in front of Doraville City Hall.

This is a safe alternative to the US Postal Service. The drop box is open now through election day. It is bolted to the ground, has cameras watching it, and ballots are picked up every day by the county.

Whether you vote via absentee ballot, use one of the early voting locations, or vote at city hall on election day, I encourage you to vote in this important election!

Visit the Goats at Autumn Park!

Doraville is partnering with Trees Atlanta to battle the kudzu that has overgrown Autumn Park. Goats (and their guard dogs) are going to be in the park for the next few weeks. After they have made a dent, Trees Atlanta will embark on a two year program to restore the park.

Doraville Masks Available at City Hall

For those who are interested,we have a limited supply of "Doraville" branded masks available. Just stop by city hall and tell someone at the front desk that you would like one of the masks. Stay safe out there!

Welcome to our New Judges!

Congratulations to our new municipal judges:

Chief Judge, Jennifer Mann (Center)
Associate Judge, Chong Kim (Left)
Associate Judge: Vanessa Kosky (Right)

These new judges are reflective of the diversity that makes Doraville so unique. Mann and Kosky are both bilingual in English and Spanish and Kim serves as the President of the Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association Law Foundation. All three of them possess extensive courtroom experience and bring unique perspectives to Doraville’s court system.
