Come on out and enjoy a day of fun and fall foliage to support The Maximilian Foundations mission of Prevention! The Maximilian Foundation supports programs that prevent self-destructive behaviors created by adolescent insecurities; strengthening the education of our young people by nourishing character, building confidence and growing the life skills needed to sustain better choices.
The Maximilian Foundation is having their 6th Annual Striped Bass Bash All-Boat Tournament & Family Fish Fry on Saturday, November 5, 2022. This event is open to the public and will be at The Grove at the Elks Lodge #2340, 520 Hilliard Blvd., Manahawkin. Mike Corliss will be emceeing this event with bands; Third Watch, Facedown and Sahara Moon! There will be an Awards ceremony, special drawings, auction table, cash bar/local craft beer by Hidden Sands Brewery, craft vendors and more! There will be a Captains meeting and dinner the night before at the Elks Lodge where the rules and regulations are explained to the captains and their crews. Weigh in is Saturday from 1-5 p.m. Angler registration information is available online at www.TheMaximilianFoundation.org. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door, Children (12 & Under) $8.00 (5 & Under) are Free and can be purchased at Max’s Self-Esteem Craft Market, 712 E. Operation Halloween 2022 Operation Halloween is a wholesome family-fun event provided for our communities by the Rotary Clubs of Southern Ocean County in conjunction with the Boy Scouts of the Jersey Shore Council. It is scheduled from 4 p.m.-10 p.m. on Friday October 21st and Saturday October 22nd t the Joseph A Citta Scout Reservation in Brookville, NJ. It has a Pumpkin Street, which offers a free hay maze, games, costumed characters and Live Music. Also, various types of food will be sold, along with the organizational displays and other Halloween activities. There is no entrance fee to enter Pumpkin Street.
In addition, there is a "non-scare" Hay Ride and pumpkin painting, a Haunted Walk and the "infamous" Terror in the Pines Maze" (formerly Zombie Outbreak). An access ticket is needed for these activities which is $15 per person. However, a $5 discount coupon is available through The Maximilian Foundation, lowering the price to $10 per person.
