Dear friends!

We are so excited to have a BALL with you, in person, once again!

Ekone's flagship hootenanny, family festival, and fundraiser is BACK.  Yahooo!  Please join us!  We have so much to celebrate together.

Remember how much fun this event is?
Barbeque! Yummy Tummy Cafe home cooking
Pony Rides! For all the kids, cuuuute
Music music music! Matney Cook, Bart Budwig, Garett Brennan, Sappy Fir Cones, Wild Sparks, and more
Games! For kids of all ages
Dancing! Because you won't be able to stand still
Beergarden! Featuring Syncline wines and pFriem brews
Auction! It is a fundraiser, after all (and we have rad items)
Community!  Roughly 300 of the most wonderful humans all together

Plus this year, we'll be showing off the gorgeous new YUMMY TUMMY CAFE & BATHHOUSE*, built with the help of so many of YOU over the past 5 years!  (And also the new Bunkhouse, which is old news now but will still be new for many of you!)
Here are a few things that will be different about this year's Ball:
  • No tickets!  To simplify and make this event as fun and accessible as possible, we're adopting a model of reciprocal generosity.  We'll do our very best to create a fabulously fun ranch weekend, and will ask that everyone contribute to Ekone as generously as you're able!
  • No silent auction ~ we just don't have the staff capacity to organize it this year, plus packing people into the lodge in a shopping frenzy still seems unwise....
  • Dancing on the lawn ~ Covid is still circulating, and we want to keep folks healthy, so we're *pretty sure* that we'll have ALL the music and dancing outside on the lodge lawn, rather than packing into the lodge!
  • Test for entry ~ everyone will be required to take a day-of Covid test and show results for entry.  (We know tests aren't perfect, but this is one easy precaution to take.)  Masking and vaccination are encouraged but not required.
Visit the Website for more event details, logistics, pictures, and breaking news as we get closer!
(We really do need everyone to RSVP, so we know how many ears of corn to shuck!  And we WILL cap this event at 350 please RSVP early!)
Want to help make the magic?  This is a community production, and you're invited!  Here's what we need:
  1. Volunteers!  It takes about 60 hardworking folks to pull off this event.  Ar you one of them?  You can let us know when you RSVP, or email directly.
  2. Fabulous auction items!  We're curating a set of 20 unique items and experiences to offer in the live auction!  Have something to offer?  Email
  3. Donations!  This donation-based event will fund the VERY LAST LEG of the Saddle Up! capital campaign...because we still need to raise $100,000 to close this out.  To finish the build ADA-accessible heal the Bunkhouse lawn from all the finish essential rewiring in the's the home stretch!
We'll be asking everyone at the event for their generosity towards the future of Ekone Ranch and the transformative work that happens on this land.  Even if you can't come, you can still help us down the trail!

*Will we be cooking out of the new kitchen for the Ball, you ask? Ah, but some things are still in the when the backordered septic control panel will arrive...please cross your fingers and toes!
