Dr. Ramakrishna, Associate Professor of Neurological Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York Presbyterian Hospital
A big thank you to Dr. Rohan Ramakrishna of Weill Cornell who joined us for an hour-long Q&A on our recent VOICES call. And a big shout-out to the patients and carers who joined.

Dr. Ramakrishna answered patients' questions about "awake" surgery, clinical trials, tumor storage, and much more. If you missed it, you can watch it here.

Dr Ramakrishna promotes an individualized, patient-centric approach.

It's always a collaborative effort between me — the doctor — and you, the patient and family. I think of us as co-captains in terms of making decisions.

We had planned to be in Chicago this weekend for the ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncologists) Annual Meeting — one of the most important and well-attended oncology conferences worldwide.

For obvious reasons, ASCO 2020 is going virtual, running from Friday 29th to Sunday 31st May. OurBrainBank has a virtual "booth" at ASCO2020 where we'll be promoting our app and support community, and we'll be sure to report back on any GBM developments.
The trustees of OurBrainBank UK have talented friends — Patrick Naylor and Tim Robinson, haven't been able to play together as usual, but they got together virtually to record the jazz classic Stompin' at the Savoy and dedicated their performance to OurBrainBank UK. Thanks Patrick and Tim!
Our featured patient this week is Mark Cesarano. Mark has been living with GBM for 4 years. He's an amazingly generous member of our community offering his expertise as an insurance and benefits consultant freely to GBM patients and carers.

I think people like to know there is somebody else out there going through this, and they are grateful just to talk.

Thank you, Mark, for all that you do. Read Mark's full story.
