Although the Southern California weather may not agree, we're still in winter -- but spring is drawing near. And spring is a time of renewal -- not only a renewal of nature, but a renewal of ourselves. Join us at the March Division Council Meeting to find out how you can Rise Up and Renew Your Journey! Come hear from an extraordinary keynote speaker and share with other club leaders your tips and tricks for working towards your club goals!
This month's keynote speaker is Past District 100 Director Mark Lucas, DTM. Mark has worn (and continues to wear) many hats in the Toastmasters realm. He reluctantly joined Toastmasters in 2011. It took him 3 months to give his first speech and 18 months to complete his first education award. After completing his Area Director service and participating in over 50 speech contests as a judge, the leadership bug bit him and irreversibly changed him for the better. He has served as a Division Director, Program Quality Director, and led District 100 to Distinguished status in the 2018-2019 program year - the second year District 100 was in existence!
Mark currently serves as District Leadership Chair, Speakers Bureau co-chair, and Toastmasters Region 1 Advisor. He is also a Qualified Speaker.
In his spare time, Mark manages IT systems at Caltech and provides technical support for Yuri's Night, the world's global space party.
