We may be approaching the end of the calendar year but we're only halfway through the Toastmasters year! Join us at the December Division Council Meetings to find out how you can Rise Up your club to be distinguished! Come hear from a keynote speaker and share with other club leaders your tips and tricks for working towards your club goals!
Division G features keynote speaker Karika Austin, DTM. She is the current Club President and proud member of Dynamic Forcemasters Club #587 in Downey. She joined Toastmasters December 2013. Karika brings a diverse background and 20+ years of solid leadership skills to Toastmasters’ District 100 and to her club. She believes in the Toastmaster leadership model and its platform that has helped even the shyest of speakers attain personal success. She attained her MBA from Webster University and globally ranked in the top 2% in the prestigious Business Management Capsim®. She has continued to remain dedicated and focused on the goal at hand and was instrumental in helping her club achieve yet another year as President’s Distinguished. Her club has also seen a surge in membership, which she attributes to the culture of a professional family-styled environment and the “judgement free zone.”
Division S features keynote speaker Celia Vega-Herrera. Celia is a Grant Writer for AltaMed Health Services. Her writing interests are centered around increasing health access and health equity for underserved populations. Her educational background is in Public Health. She earned her Masters of Public at the University of Southern California and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UCLA. She was born and raised Lindsay, CA, a small agricultural town in Central California. Celia has been a member of the AltaMed Toastmasters Club since 2016, where she has served the club as Sergeant-At-Arms, Treasurer and, her current role, Vice President of Membership.
