We’re very pleased to release our first “Year in Review” video featuring program, collection and statistical highlights from 2021. While planning last year’s annual report, library board member Robin Foster suggested an accompanying video. Debbie Krause (Community Engagement), ran with the idea and together with Kasia Dupuis (Marketing & Communications) produced an excellent overview of 2021. Thank you to Kasia for putting the video together and narrating and to Debbie for overseeing the project. You’ll find a link to the video in this newsletter, right after my column.
We’re also very pleased to open registration for the TD Summer Reading Club this month. This year’s theme is myths and legends and Miss Addie has planned a wide-ranging slate of programs to educate and entertain children of all ages throughout the summer. Registration begins June 13 so mark your calendar and sign the kids up.
June 13 is also the date for the next Learn & Live seminar. June’s topic is “Engaging with Culture and History in Niagara-on-the-Lake” and looks at three museums in NOTL; Willowbank, RiverBrink and NOTL Historical. Directors from all three museums will delve into the unique history and holdings of their respective museums and answer your questions about these important community repositories of history and culture.
Read on for more details about this month’s programs and new titles. We look forward to seeing you in the Library.
