Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

As we celebrate the incarnation this December, we rejoice that the Son of God became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14). Christ came to give His life as a ransom for many (Matt 20:28). His death satisfied the demands of God's justice and His perfect life satisfied the demands of God's holiness (2 Corinthians 5:21). This enabled Christ to forgive and save those who place their faith in Him (Romans 3:26). Have you repented of your sins? Have you believed in Jesus Christ for your salvation? Please be reconciled to God today!

A Sincere Thank You

One year ago our family began to raise financial support to leave for the mission field. We are so thankful for the new friendships and deeper relationships God has given us during this stage. It has also been a joy to witness God's work in other faithful churches! Over and over again we have been astounded at the Lord's abundant provision as He grows our team of partners and prayer warriors.

We want you to know how blessed we are that God connected us with you and we are so thankful for your generous gifts to help send and then sustain us on the field once we leave. We sincerely thank you!

A Shared Vision for Madagascar

We praise God that He has given you the same heart and passion to see the glorious gospel of Christ greatly impact the island of Madagascar.

We have a shared vision:
  • To see the people of Madagascar worshipping our Savior in spirit and in truth.
  • To see churches in Madagascar being led by men of character and skill in the Word of God.
  • To see Malagasy men called into the ministry and being trained by a biblical seminary to be faithful expositors of the Word.
  • To see indigenous pastors becoming seminary professors and theologians who guard the truth they have learned and pass it on to future generations.
Thank you for praying and sacrificing for this common goal together!

Testifying of God's Enduring Faithfulness

Ashley was recently the speaker at the annual Ladies’ Christmas Tea at Christ’s Church of Tucson. She was overjoyed to testify of God’s enduring faithfulness before, during, and after seminary and her confidence in His continued faithfulness for the future. You can listen to or download the audio at this link or at this page:

A Note from Ashley:

It was truly a joy and a privilege to share what God has done in our hearts and lives and also to connect with friends and family while I was in Tucson this month! I want to thank Christ's Church of Tucson and Abiding in Christ Fellowship for giving me these opportunities! I also wanted to thank each of you who were holding me up in prayer that weekend.

Also, I know so many of you have been faithfully praying for my biblical counseling studies and asking me about my progress. I praise God that I have completed the papers for the exam and am now ready to move into the 50 supervised counseling sessions. This is truly an answer to many prayers as well!

"For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God..." 1 Timothy 4:10
— Ashley Ellingson

  • Praise God that Ashley was able to complete all 44 required essay questions and other papers, which are part of the process to become certified with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC)! Thank you to everyone who faithfully prayed for Ashley to reach this major milestone!

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray for the Lord's provision to have our monthly support team in place 3-4 months before we need to leave, since the government and language school documents take a number of months to process.
  • Pray for Ashley’s continued progress as she works towards completing her biblical counseling certification—she needs to complete 50 supervised counseling sessions.
  • Our family is delighted that we can visit the faithful saints at GraceLife Edmonton (Alberta, Canada) in January 2019!  Pray for David as he shares about the ministry in Madagascar, preaches God's Word, and as he and Ashley do a Q&A time together.
  • We are also excited to meet the believers at Cornerstone Community Church (Atascadero, CA) in March at their annual missions conference. Pray for that we would build a close long-term relationship with both of these churches.
