Happy New Year to the weary warriors for Democracy! As 2022 begins and we carry the weight of the new COVID surge, the attacks on our Democracy are unrelenting.

Tomorrow, Thursday, January 6, Berkshire County is offering two opportunities to join with a national day of action to protect our imperiled Democracy
Due to the current COVID surge, please wear a mask

5:00 - 6:00 pm  Berkshire Democratic Brigades is hosting a gathering at Park Square in Pittsfield
"Berkshire Citizens for Peace and Justice will join with over 271 groups around the country this Thursday, January 6th, to commemorate the disastrous threat to American democracy represented by the insurrection at our nation's capital on January 6th of 2021. We will assemble from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. at Park Square in Pittsfield. If you believe democracy requires peaceful cooperation of American citizens of diverse origins and political affiliations, then your presence at this vigil is a chance to make that statement in a significant way.
Bring your own signs and face masks. Be prepared to leave an appropriate amount of space between yourself and other attenders during this time of fast spreading varieties of Covid."
