For the week of March 20th

St. Mary Families,

It was a spirit filled week as we enjoyed a wonderful visit by Bishop Walsh. Staff and students lined the halls with excitement as Bishop (and his dog, Sam) were greeted with joyful smiles and welcome gifts made by classmates.

Our girls basketball completed a tremendous basketball season, gaining the Regional Championship before losing the Quarterfinals to Fowler.  Great job, Snowbirds!

Saint Patrick's Day was a day of celebration enjoyed by all. Our Snowbird Cash Raffle drawing was early that morning and we're excited to announce that our very own pre-k teacher, Lindsey Sims won the Grand Prize of $7,000. Congratulations, Lindsey!

It was a great week and as we begin Spring Break, we hope you enjoy your time with your families and friends. Have a blessed week and we'll see you back on Wednesday, March 30.

God bless,
Jerry Belanger

Snowbird News
Welcoming Bishop Walsh and Sam to our School
Our special welcome of Bishop Walsh included a beautiful Irish song,
“Lady of Knock, Queen of Peace” sung by Lilly, Payton, Emma, and Lydia,
accompanied by Mr. Belanger.
Bishop Walsh appreciated and admired the work of Mrs. Baker, Mrs. Dalson, and the sixth grade students which represented the parishes and Catholic Schools of our Diocese.
A warm visit in Home Economics with Bishop Walsh enjoying tea, scones, and cookies made by the class.
Fine Arts
Tori Kuznicki, Hannah deLange, Max Kuznicki, and Aiden Murphy participated in the rescheduled High School Honors Band, March 19th at Harbor Springs High School. They joined other area musicians in this event. Auditions were held in November which earned their spots in the band, however due to Covid it was delayed until now.
Athletics
Congratulations to our Girls Basketball Team for a great season!

Playing with an impressive hustle, strength, and unbreakable spirit to the final buzzer, the girls basketball season ended in Quarterfinals with a tough loss to Fowler. The hard work and dedication of the teammates and coaches powered them through a Regional Championship and a victorious 22-3 season. Great job girls and coaches! Proud to be a Snowbird!
Many Thanks to our 2021-2022
