School Cancellation Due to Weather Clarification
With the recent school cancellations this week, it is important to remember that the safety of your family is our priority.  We make our decison regarding school closing giving careful consideration to emergency warnings from the Sheriff's Dept., Washtenaw County Road Commission, local weather stations and our surrounding school districts.  We'll notifiy you of a school closing through our new text messaging system, an announcement posted through the Detroit areas major media outlets, and our social media as well. We'll do our best to inform you of our decision by 6:00 a.m. the day of a closing.  When possible and appropriate, we'll make our decision the night prior to our closing.  Please know that if school is open but conditions in your locale prevent your safe travel, we will honor your decision to remain at home.
Stay warm & safe as we enjoy our Michigan winter!

The First Plane of Development: The Absorbent Mind
A child in the First Plane (birth to age six) effortlessly absorbs knowledge, language, and culture through his or her senses. Dr. Montessori explained how the cognitive foundation laid during this time physically becomes part of an individual’s brain and forms his or her personality. Modern science has confirmed how important sense stimulation is in children’s development.

Enrichment Registration Deadline Extended
