It's December and my desk is a complete mess, how about you? I like those studies that come out every so often that proclaim messy desk people to be earth's only true enlightened geniuses or something along those lines. That's great and all, but tidy deskers are more generous.

Since we're on the topic, December is a good time to give to a great cause. There are a lot of literacy-related organizations out there doing excellent work. They accept both messy and tidy desk contributions. Here are some of my favorites with links to donate.
I like packing. I like packing almost nothing and seeing if I can get away with it. Packing is on my mind right now. I think this is the case because a friend sent me the animated short Negative Space - have you seen it? It's so good - I recommend you take a couple minutes to watch.
This time I have 20 books to share. In December John Schumacher and I always put together a list of our 20 favorites of the year. Here they are.
Ho, ho, ho! It's a Robot Santa zine! Just in time for the holidays. I have two extras to give away - send me an email ( if you'd like a copy.
