Hello one and all ~
I really hope this newsletter finds you well - we are all affected by this situation in different ways, and whether you're sailing through or bumping along...my thoughts are with you all. This is just a brief update with some helpful offerings...
An hour of Deep Relaxation...(free)
Tomorrow, Tuesday 28th April, I am delighted to be offering a free hour of different yoga-based practices to calm your mind and body. From Pranayama (yoga breathing), to guided meditation and finishing with a deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep) - what a perfect gift for yourself and those you know! No experience required, come and join others for the 7pm - 8pm session.
The Pranayama will help you to improve your breathing capacity, which in turn means an increase in energy and vitality (prana), plus balances the left and right side of the brain, bringing us to a place of equilibrium.
Guided meditation, mindfulness, allows us to come home to our body, not get caught up in our thoughts (we let them go in a non-judgemental way), and bring a friendly awareness to ourselves in the present moment.
Finally, yoga nidra (where we rest deeply but don't actually sleep - although if you do it's OK) - allows the mind and body to rest deeply, right down to the cellular level and beyond...
Access this via the easy to use Zoom platform, arrive a little before 7pm (5-10 mins) to settle in, smile at your fellow participants, ready for a 7pm start. If you haven't already used Zoom, you will need to download it before the session - again easy to do, Google it, and follow the straightforward instructions. (If you get stuck email me on firstname.lastname@example.org)

Like many people, my gentle, holistic yoga classes are now online - "We do it with a Va-Va-Zoom...!"
Accessible to all, beginners, experienced, those with health conditions - we are a friendly community - and our door is open to welcome new people. I specialise in gentle, holistic yoga - in particular "The Power of Slow" - knowing how working mindfully with the breath, combined with allowing time and space for the body to respond to the postures and pranayama, significantly improves our strength and flexibility in an easeful way, boosts the immune system, and builds a positive mindset and resilience.

The Sound of Grace retreat weekend for women.
My friend and colleague, Amanda Bailey, and I are very excited to be running this gorgeous retreat weekend. September 11th - 13th will see us heading off to Monkton Wyld, nr Charmouth and Lyme Regis in Dorset. Set in a beautiful Grade II listed building, Monkton Wyld offers a peaceful retreat setting following sustainable practices. Acres of gardens and woodlands, it's just a 5 minute drive from the beach and Jurassic Coast.
We will enjoy gentle, holistic yoga, learn healing chant and mantra, explore cross-cultural healing music, meditation, movement - and time and space to just BE. Beautifully prepared vegetarian food, comfortable shared rooms, Saturday evening fire circle...We can't wait!
No previous experience required - by September we will also be very ready to honour the journey we've been on, process it, and look to the future. Amanda and I will facilitate this in a special ceremony. See HERE for full details.
