Last fiscal year, CAO embarked on a strategic planning process that sought to align our activities and resources with the implementation of the new CAO Policy adopted in July 2021. These priorities will guide and inform CAO’s annual work plan and budget from fiscal year (FY) 2023 to 2025. Indicators have been developed to monitor, evaluate, and report on progress with respect to expected improvements related to effectiveness, productivity, and efficiency. Read our Strategic Priorities through FY 2025.

In the two-hour session, students asked questions about the role of independent accountability mechanisms and learned, through data, about CAO operations and IFC’s portfolio. The participants will be joining different areas of IFC as “externs” in a partnership between the World Bank Group and Howard University.
