If your email address is from a different provider (,,,, your local phone company, etc.), the message will contain a LINK to initiate authentication.

After you click the Read Secure Message button, you will be prompted to either:

a) sign in with your provider, OR
b) request a one-time passcode.

TIP: Each passcode expires after 15 minutes. If that happens, or if you can’t open the message for any reason, start over by clicking Read Secure Message again and following the steps.

BONUS: Once you’ve been successfully authenticated, some email clients will remember this and future encrypted emails will be viewable without the need to re-authenticate.
