Housing Counseling Services seeks Foreclosure Prevention Counselor/Trainer - $42k to $58k

HCS is seeking a highly qualified Housing Counselor to engage homeowners at risk of foreclosure throughout the DC Metro area. Housing Counselors must remain up to date in the changing tools available to preserve homeownership and prevent foreclosure.

Job responsibilities:

  • Provide counseling to homeowners on all housing issues in order to resolve problems and improve housing opportunities.

  • Evaluate homeowners' eligibility for loss mitigation options and other alternatives to avert foreclosure.

  • Prepare mortgage relief applications with clients and follow-up with lenders to confirm completion.

  • Negotiate workout agreements with lenders on behalf of clients.

  • Prepare homeowners for foreclosure mediation and participate at mediation sessions to support client needs.

  • Follow-up with all clients to be assured that their needs are being met.

  • Maintain accurate written and computer based files.

The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public's assistance in identifying two persons of interest in reference to a Burglary II/Destruction of Property incident which occurred in the 1200 block of Sumner Road, SE, on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at approximately 10:50 PM. The subjects were captured by the building's surveillance cameras.

Crime Solvers of Washington, DC currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia. [PR] Suspects Sought in an Armed Robbery of an Establishment (Gun) Offense: 4800 b/o Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue, NE

Wednesday, November 13, 2019

 Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District seek the public’s assistance in identifying suspects in reference to an Armed Robbery of an Establishment (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, November 11, 2019, in the 4800 block of Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue, Northeast. 

 At approximately 8:30 pm, the suspects entered an establishment at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded property. The suspects assaulted the victim and took property. The suspects then fled the scene. 

The suspects were captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos below and in this video: 

Anyone who can identify these individuals, or who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
