Tēnei te mihi a Te Mātāwai ki ngā uri o Te Tai Tokerau me Te Arawa i tāpae tono mai ki te whakarauora me te whakahaumanu i te reo Māori i ngā kāinga me ngā hapori kei roto i ērā kāhui. Kua kati ngā rauna haumitanga a Te Tai Tokerau me Te Arawa, e 66 katoa ngā tono ka tāpaea mai mā roto o Te Mātāpuna te punaha ipurangi.  Ka tīmata te aromatawai a ngā Pae Motuhake e rua i ngā tono, e tau ai tā rātou i tūtohu ai ki te Poari nui tonu o Te Mātāwai.  
 
Te Mātāuru: Investments

Te Mātāwai would like to thank everyone from the Te Tai Tokerau and Te Arawa clusters who submitted applications for te reo Māori revitalisation and restoration in homes and communities. Te Tai Tokerau and Te Arawa investment rounds closed with a total of 66 completed applications submitted via Te Mātāpuna.  Both Pae Motuhake will begin to assess all applications to make recommendations to the full Te Mātāwai board.

If you have already registered to apply for Māori language revitalisation support to the Te Reo Tukutuku investment round then please be advised this round is now open and it will close on Wednesday 25 July 2018.  Te Reo Tukutuku is made up of the four key Māori language sectors of Community, Media, Education and Urban Māori.  The fund is $2.7 million dollars and will be measured against the approved Te Reo Tukutuku Investment Plan that is aligned to the Maihi Māori Strategy.  The plan was developed by the Pae Motuhake mō Te Reo Tukutuku.

Vacancy Open for Te Mātauranga
Ko te rauna haumitanga a Te Reo Tukutuku te mea whakamutunga i tā mātou hōtaka haumitanga mō te tau 2017-2018.   Ka whakahoungia ā tōna wā te katoa o ngā whārangi paetukutuku ā-Iwi kei reira nei ngā mahere haumitanga a ngā Kāhui mō te tau, ka noho mai anō ngā whakataunga mō ngā rauna e waru katoa.
The Te Reo Tukutuku investment round is the final round of our investment programme for the 2017-2018 year.   All Kāhui ā-Iwi webpages containing each clusters annual investment plans will be updated in due course with complete results for each of the investment rounds.

Te Mātāwai would like to congratulate former Te Mātāwai board member Professor Rawinia Higgins who was recently announced by the Minister for Māori Development the Hon Nanaia Mahuta as the new chairperson to the board of Te Taura Whiri i Te Reo Māori for a three year term.  Professor Higgins was appointed as a Ministerial Appointment to the Te Mātāwai board on 31 August 2016.
