Move along to where?
On Saturday we shared the unfortunate news that after 6 months of working with the City, CVC was informed that the City sees no path to permits for the Beloved Community Village at 3755 Ringsby (Taxi Campus).
This represents the second time in 4 months that a proposed tiny home village for people experiencing homelessness was denied by the city after a land-use agreement was in place and funding was secured from the community.
This denial occurred just three days before the city embarked upon the largest homeless sweeps since 2016.
On Monday, as the sweeps ensued, we mailed 50 letter to Mayor Hancock calling upon Denver's Mayor to leverage his power to ensure that the Beloved Community Village and the proposed Women's Village "find a seamless path to locating land, receiving city approval and opening this Winter."
Today, we sent a similar letter addressed to the Mayor and Denver's City Council signed by a dozen of our partner organizations.
Now, we are calling on you to help. Please click below and help us send 100 more letters to Mayor Hancock today.
