Membership Responsibilities and Expectations:
The co-op is owned and managed by its community of members, therefore maintenance of the facility is up to the members. In order to keep your personal climbing gym in high quality, each member must have integrity, commitment, and personal accountability to make sure that the facility is in good repair. We are able to keep the costs of access low because members give back to the community and the facility by taking good care of it. If this changes, the fee structure will have to change as well.
Each member is expected to contribute one hour of their time per month that they are utilizing the facility, to the upkeep of the coop. If a member is only purchasing day passes, the expectation will be that they contribute an equitable amount of “service” to the co-op for their amount of use. There will be a list of regular duties and tasks posted in the co-op and members can sign and date when they have completed one of these tasks. Tasks could include vacuuming, cleaning holds, maintaining the cleanliness of the bathroom, cleaning windows, general tidying up and whatever else is needed.
Additional opportunities to volunteer your time to benefit the co-op will be available. These could include helping with route setting, assisting with co-op events, and more!
It is the responsibility of each member to be aware of the bylaws that govern the Co-op and abide by them.
