NEW LMS ADMINS
 

If you have new admins who have not attended the LMS webinars, please send their full names, member IDs, and email addresses to support@iupat.org. In the meantime, they can review the following LMS introduction videos/resources: ISSUE RESOLVED - Admin Menu>Users Error - The Wait Operation Timed Out
 
Some admins have reported inability to access Admin Menu>Users.  LMS programmers performed an in-depth analysis of the reported issues and implemented a fix that will alleviate the time out errors and increase database efficiencies. Let us know if you’re still encountering the error message and email support@iupat.org.

The developer fixed the error and a revised version has been uploaded.

MY LEARNING PATH WIDGET
 

My Learning Paths widget is now available in the iFTI LMS. To enable the feature, go to My Dashboard and click the path icon.



The new widget shows a listing of all learning paths you are enrolled in, and can be used to view and interact with courses that are part of the learning paths. My Learning Path is an organized view of your assigned courses which may be categorized by trade, level, or topic based on your District Council's preference. It displays your progress, along with information on due dates for learning paths you are enrolled in.

NEW/UPDATED COURSES AND PROGRAMS OF STUDY

An email was sent out May 10 and June 12 regarding the new and updated courses/resources for the month.  A ticker is also available on the LMS. To navigate the LMS and learn more about the courses, please review the Programs of Study
 
If you plan to add new courses to your existing group enrollments, check Admin Menu>Learning Paths and search your DC group names or find Third Party. If you need more information about third party courses, refer to the LMS ticker.
 
Some of the highlights for this month:
 
TDS 9103I Tradeshow Decoration Paperwork (Instructor Access)
TDS 9103S Tradeshow Decoration Paperwork (Student Access)
This course introduces students to the paperwork involved in the Tradeshow Decoration industry. Students will gain a basic understanding of how that paperwork is used for shipping and delivery and specifically how floorplans are used to ensure products arrive at their correct destinations.
 
COR 1051 Hiring Right in a Virtual Environment*
Part of the Vubiz bundle. This Hiring Right in a Virtual Environment online training course will give you an understanding of the virtual interview and selection process and provide you with practical tips for managing the steps in the process, including the key skills you need to conduct an efficient and effective interview.
 
COR 1033 Business Ethics* (Hours: .75)
This Business Ethics online training course focuses on the importance of recognizing an ethical dilemma and how to act accordingly.
 
COR 1034 Ethics and Compliance* (Hours: 1)
This course explores legal and ethical issues as they arise in the workplace and is intended to help employees recognize those issues and respond appropriately to those issues and perform their jobs with integrity.
 
COR 1035 Ethics for Employees* (Hours: .5)
It is important that we understand what "acting ethically" in the workplace means, and know how to make good decisions when there is no rulebook to help. This course will encourage you to reflect on the ethical questions we all face and give you a process for arriving at good ethical decisions.
 
COR 1036 Ethics for Managers* (Hours: .5)
This course explains what business ethics means and why initiatives to develop and maintain ethical cultures in organizations are more important than ever.

RED VECTOR SUNSET COURSES 

 
The Red Vector bundle is no longer offered. Affected courses have been locked as of December 31, 2020. The Curriculum team removed all online lessons and replaced them with Vubiz courses, if available. The Red Vector bundle has also been removed from the Programs of Study and Third Party List. If you need more information about the third party courses, please check the LMS article.

Construction workers, who often work outdoors in direct sunlight or in hot, enclosed spaces, are at risk for heat-related illnesses and, in severe cases, death. In fact, construction workers make up about 6% of the total U.S. workforce, but from 1992 to 2016, they accounted for 36% of all occupational heat-related deaths. Learn more about research findings on heat-related deaths among construction workers as well as CPWR resources and solutions to help prevent them in this 30-minute presentation, followed by Q&A.
