Five partnering churches are behind Night Light Café

It is with pleasure that EXIST can present the representatives of the five partnering churches, who are behind Night Light Café. The purpose of the partnership is to create coherence and synergy between the partnering churches, the daily work in Night Light Café, and EXIST. That is done by, among others, being a spokesperson at the church in question and by recruiting volunteers.

The reason I am in the partnership:
“I live on Vesterbro, and I see the prostituted and trafficked women daily. Therefore, I am pleased I can aid the fight for their cause with my small contribution” - Inger Dahl Jensen.

“I am part of Night Light Café's partnering group because the prostitutes who come to the café are part of my neighbourhood, and I want to make an effort for their well-being. In addition, I have a particular interest in the background of Nigerian (and other African) prostitutes, their living conditions, and the barriers they have for a way out of prostitution.” - Mette Nymann Eriksen.

Safehouse Rehabilitation Tool

This is one of the projects that our interns have been working on during their internship, which is illustrated by the picture above. The project is the foundation of a framework tool that can be used by safehouses in Nigeria. The objective of the framework tool is to contribute to effective rehabilitation and give women the best conditions for a life outside of human trafficking and prostitution.

Thank you for now!

“We, the three interns, are saying thanks for now and returns to school. With us, we take a lot of knowledge from our 10-week internship at EXIST. We have worked with, and finished, different projects and look forward to seeing the future development of these.

All three of us have signed up to still be part of EXIST, to a certain extent - it’s so intriguing that you can’t help it.” - Lise, Nikolaj and Thor.
