We are coming to an exciting time at Robert Eagle Staff, the first performances from our music students! We have a unique opportunity as a community to create the concert experience at our new school. FORESMA has been working with our teachers to plan a pleasurable evening for our families. After dropping off your student, join us in the entry for Bahn Mi sandwiches followed up with a treat from our bake sale. We will also sell T-shirts, all to help support the music program. Our teachers have asked us to respect the hard work of our musicians and not eat during performances, so arrive early and enjoy!

In other news, committees are organizing for the many festivals & competitions our musicians will participate in this year. We have begun planning for a direct ask campaign in the spring to raise funds needed now and into the future. We are working with Friends of Music at Hamilton International (FOMAHI) to receive a generous donation in support of students that came to RESMS from Hamilton. We have already used part of the money for our drumline equipment. In the coming weeks, we will determine how to best utilize the balance.

Lastly, I hope you will join us, tonight, Tuesday, November 21st at the Northgate Mall RAM where 10% of all sales, from 6-9pm will be donated to FORESMA. As always, if you have time to donate or questions, please email me at

Donations are tax-deductible. Please share this link with family and friends who may also want to support RESMS music students.

Concert attire at REMS has been determined to be black, dress clothes.  Read the notes from our talented teachers below and follow their links for more information regarding performances:

Hello, Orchestra & Guitar Families,

Preparation for our December 5th Orchestra and Guitar concert is underway.  All four orchestras, as well as our guitar class, are busy fine-tuning our performance pieces, and we are excited to perform for our families and friends!  Our concert will be held in the RESMS commons at 7:00 PM.  This letter was sent home with students, with more details about the event.

Looking forward to January, our Senior Orchestra will be performing at a school board meeting on January 17th at 4:00.  We are planning to carpool downtown after school for this exciting performance opportunity.

Go Ravens!

     -Lindsey Dustin, Orchestra Director
