Hopefully, reading and writing poetry is a given!
But just like for National Reading Month, there are so many things you can do to celebrate. In fact, Poets.org has a whole list of 30 Ways to Celebrate National Poetry Month at Home or Online. But, I personally want to invite you to:
- Write and publish your own chapbook.
- Participate in an Instagram writing challenge.
- Participate in a virtual open mic on IG or FB.
I see these kinds of things happening all the time, and now I think it's your turn to get out there and shine! Whether you have enough poems to compile a poetry book already or you still need to work on it, start moving toward the goal of sharing your work like the poetry greats.
