And so does a new Christian year! Our new sermon series will be based on the book, The Christian New Year, by J. D. Walt. The book is a 25-day Advent devotional that helps us mark time with the story of God. Click on the image for more information on the book and how to order if you would like to read along through the season.
We will worship in person at 8:30 and 10:00 in our Sanctuary and online at 10:00 via Facebook Live and our website. Our service will include a time of "hymn sing," so come ready to call out your favorites!

We continue to pray for those requests shared on Sunday during our worship services.
We pray for Kelly Mooney and the rest of the friends and family of David Mooney, who passed from this life into the next last Thursday.
With Susan Snellen, we pray for her sister-in-law's nephew, Andrew, and the healing of his kidney. Andrew and his wife are expecting their 4th child.
We pray for June Kennedy and the rest of the family of Derek Boswell who passed away quickly after being diagnosed with cancer. While we rejoice with them that he did not endure prolonged suffering, we pray for God's comfort in the midst of grief.
We praise God for Joyce Bankester and celebrate with her family her 88th birthday this past Monday.
With Wynona Shaddix, we pray for her grandson who is currently in quarantine before deploying with the Navy on Dec. 5. We pray for him and all those on the U.S.S. Theodore Rosevelt. We also join Wynona in praying for her granddaughter and the rest of her Marine unit as they prepare to deploy to Central America.
We pray for those traveling this week.
Almighty God, to those who are experiencing grief and loss this holiday season, bring light into our darkness once more. Give us the Light of hope, joy, love, and peace. For those who sacrificially put themselves in harm's way to serve, we pray Your protection. For those who are sick, we pray Your healing. For all of our blessings, we give You thanks and praise. In Jesus' name. Amen.
