Hardy Happenings
Student Edition: Grades K and 1

Welcome to the sixth Hardy Happenings -- Student Edition! This week we are featuring some of the amazing work created by Hardy K and 1st graders! We are blown away by their creativity!

This will be our final student created newsletter of the year! Thank you so much to all who participated!

Keep your eyes out for future communications from PTO, including an inspiring "Hardy at Home" video, virtual events like Literacy Night, and other ways to stay connected!

Note: Make sure you click through to the full newsletter to see ALL of our submissions, sometimes it is cut off in your email!

Luka R. (1st grade) and his brother and sister learned about the caterpillar to butterfly life cycle. Luka got to observe the caterpillars grow in size, the chrysalis form and the butterflies emerge. He loved having the butterflies land on his hand the day that we released them!

Poetry and Donuts!

Sahil V. (Kindergarten) made a shape poem about hills.

He also made some donuts!

Rat Maze Continued!

Darwin J. (1st grade) has a rat maze update!

She says, "I timed my rat going through a maze a few times to see how long it would take for her to do it without any help at all. And this is what I found, because we're going to be showing it in the graph that I made. She jumped a few walls on some of them but some of them she did it without jumping walls."

Protect the Earth!

Muhan W. (1st grade) made this poster after seeing the movie ‘Plastic Pollution Virtual Film’. She made it to remind people to protect the environment and protect the earth!

Fun Stuff!

Sofia S. (1st grade) made this magic rainbow.

And also this magnetic monster:

Emil P. (1st grade) is learning to make homemade pasta. He says: Kneading the dough was a workout, but the pasta tasted great!
