Hello, hello! And happy Sunday, you lovely bunch.

I hope you’ve all had a good week (whether you’ve been blessed with a little dusting of the white stuff or not), and taken care of yourselves. I feel like the lead up to Christmas this year is flying by (I keep saying this year has simultaneously been both the quickest and slowest of my life) so I feel like I’m scrambling around a little to see friends (if and where I’m able), write cards, wrap gifts (and post them on time), plan a bit of a home reshuffle in time for baby… and relax (because if anything that’s the thing you are very much told to do- eek)!

It’s a lot to keep on top of, and I know we’re all muddling through until that Vicar of Dibley TV special is on, and we’re fuelling up on dry turkey, mince pies and endless Quality Street (which is also a mental note for me to absolutely pick some up). This week I’ve been bought joy by Meerco-Wahve, the wonderful news of vaccinations starting to be rolled out and the intense urge to perfect the French plait so I can enter 2021 like the dedicated Swiftie that I am.

Anyway, I asked earlier this week if readers of Sunday Duvet Reading were happy to keep on with a weekly newsletter, or something slightly more infrequent would be preferable (i.e once every two weeks, or monthly)- it was very split, so if anyone has a preference, I’d love to know! I love writing these weekly (and will be doing so until my little maternity leave in the new year), but just hope they’re not overwhelming an already full inbox- especially at this time of year!

Either way- I hope you have a wonderful Sunday- whether you’re wrapping up for a chilly wintry walk, cosied up on the sofa, working a busy shift (and then rewarding yourself with a hot/fizzy beverage) or anything in-between- take care, and go easy on yourself- you’re doing great.

  • One of my favourite small businesses, Don't Buy Her Flowers- shared this gorgeous post a couple of weeks ago, and although only small it's something that I really needed to hear when I saw it. Steph also creates the most gorgeous gift boxes for a range of occasions, so if you're looking for a last minute gift idea, she's your lady.
  • I am completely, wholly and utterly obsessed with the new Gucci campaign images and probably find myself admiring them at least once a day.
  • If you're also worrying a little about the next couple of weeks, a Christmas that looks different to years gone by and perhaps navigating this time- I loved this piece on Stylist on the comfort of nostalgia, re-watching and revisiting. As a serial re-watcher of everything I love again and again, this was very comforting to read (and of course remember you're never ever alone).
  • I've just caught wind of the uber talented Scareltt Curtis's gorgeous prints for sale- and with £5 from every sale going to Choose Love, they're a pretty perfect 'to me, love me' gift (or, y'know, for someone else too)...
  • A few tweets that gave me some smiles this week- from this dog perfume advert, this one oozing big pocket energy (guess who has just started The Crown?!) and obviously this. Obviously.
  • Finally, I know I've mentioned the brilliant Mixed Up podcast before- but over the last few weeks, Emma and Nicole have smashed it with some seriously brilliant episodes, which I can't recommend enough. From Jordan Stephens and toxic masculinity, Sophie Williams on what it means to actually be an ally and Lianne La Havas on heartbreak and personal growth- all of which are beautiful, important and moving conversations.
If you're after a little somethin' somethin' to spice up any Christmas playlists, look no further than the newest dreamy festive cover from Summer Camp, the iconic Home Alone 'Somewhere in My Memory'. Elizabeth and Jeremy undoubtedly do the best Christmas covers, and if you've already given that some serious repeat plays, I'll point you in the direction of their other Christmas record here too...
Over the last few weeks I've fallen head over heels with Jeanie's beautiful brand, Back By Sundown. Creating sustainable, limited, handmade pieces- her pieces are completely dreamy (whilst being wearable and practical) and effortlessly timeless too. For me, it's the beautiful oversized dresses that have currently stolen my heart- and I've solidly got my eye on both the Marie and Angie...
If you're after some wintry recipe inspiration (be it dinners to baking) look no further...
From the best undies and jeans on the block- I share a few of my favourite maternity wardrobe staples so far!
A little trip down memory lane, marking ten years of blogging and starting What Olivia Did (and what I've learnt too)...
Revisiting a favourite gift guide from Giftmas past- and a few ideas that'll still stand you in very good stead...
