Say it with a note

New note cards available in April

Timeless and elegant, handwritten note cards are so much more than words on paper. They’re expressive, contemplative and touching. They’re instant keepsakes and memory-makers. A handwritten note is one-of-a-kind.

And so are my new Original Note Cards, which will be available in the gallery in April. Each image is an original oil-ink monotype on 100% rag Arches88 paper. The note cards and matching envelopes are printed on quality Fabriano 100% rag paper. Each one is packaged in protective covering and includes artist information.

You’ll want a selection for framing or to give to special friends.

Marie Powell Gallery will open April 1

'By the Sea'

One half of a diptych, 'By the Sea' is a new monotype I created here in New Zealand using oil-inks on 100% rag Arches88 paper. This will be part of a diptych with another print of the same size.

Teach a man
to garden ...

Here's Randy with veggies just picked from our garden in New Zealand! Hot summer weather has created more veggies than we can eat. Beets, tomatoes, zucchini, potatoes and basil were all part of this recent harvest!

NEW Beach Baskets

See them in the gallery in April

Baskets made from found & foraged rope

Long Beach Peninsula artist Susan Spence has been hard at work crafting her gorgeous Beach Baskets so you'll have plenty to look forward to when we reopen the Port of Ilwaco gallery in April! The pieces shown above incorporate seaweed, fishing weights and other found objects.
Remember to look for my new handmade Note Cards at Marie Powell Gallery when we open in April!

Showing in Astoria, Oregon!

I have a number of pieces showing now at RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon, including "Ancient Rings of Life" shown here. The other pieces are "Humpback Whale" and "Chinook Salmon".

New art: 'Oceanscapes'

This hand-pulled solar plate etching is from a series of "Oceanscapes" I've created here in New Zealand. This 6x8 image is oil-based inks on 100% rag. Love the color combos on this one!
