San Leanna Boil Water Notice

After my last email, the drain valve blew off of our South Well pump and caused the pressure in our lines to drop below the minimum standards required by TCEQ. Due to the drop in pressure, we are required to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption or use for brushing teeth, washing hands or face, etc. 

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.  This is particularly important for children, seniors, and people with compromised immune systems. 

In lieu of boiling, individuals may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source for drinking water or human consumption purposes.  

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, we will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking water or human consumption purposes. We expect that we will not be able to lift this requirement until at least Tuesday, February 23, 2021 as we will need to have specific water labs performed.

Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, we will issue a notice to customers that rescinds the boil water notice in a manner similar to this notice.

Please share this information with all neighbors who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly!

Further Reduce Water Use


In addition to the loss of pressure in the line, we have temporarily lost use of the South Well. We will be working to have the well functionality restored as soon as possible (hopefully tomorrow) but, until then, we are back to relying on the North Well for service. For the next 24 hours, we need to bring our water use as close as possible to ZERO gallons. If we all used no water at all, our tanks would take about 17 hours to refill. We appreciate all the help we can get from you all to get through this unprecedented time.
