Calendar of the Soul
Week Eight The senses' might grows strong
United with the gods' creative work;
It presses down my power of thinking
Into a dreamlike dullness.
When godly being
Desires union with my soul,
Must human thinking
In quiet dream-life rest content.
Last week our 4th grade class took a field trip to the Northwest Trek. They spent the day walking in the forest, observing the native Northwest animals. Thank you to the parent volunteers for joining/driving!
Our 3rd graders broke ground on Friday, prepping the space for their soon to be new addition/gift to the OWS campus: an outdoor bulletin board! As part of their shelter block, a former alum parent/architect helped guide the students in creating a blue print for the bulletin board and Cooper Carras and his dad Steve Carras have been creating the structure. The class and their parents will install the bulletin board over the next couple weeks so it is up and ready for the next school year! Thank you to Mrs. Apple and the class for this gift!
Gap Care for early childhood students will operate from June 6th through the 9th, from 8:30am to 5pm, if there is enough interest. Participating families will be billed through BigSis.
Registration closes on June 1st at 5pm! Assuming enrollment is high enough to operate we will send a confirmation email on June 2nd with further information and a suggested packing list. Please reach out to Shannon at skerrigan@olympiawaldorf.org if you have any questions.
The 2nd grade held a pizza party to welcome their new teacher for next year, Lauren Lusk. We can't thank Ms. Emilia and Ms. Ashley (seen in the photo) enough for stepping in and doing so much to hold the class after Mr. R's departure. We are excited for what Ms. Lusk will bring to their class next year!
The Thimbleberries recently shared with their families the naturally dyed silks they created! Blueberries, turmeric and many other edible elements created the vibrant colors in their silks.
Honor your family's time at Olympia Waldorf School with the purchase of a personalized legacy brick. The bricks will be used on campus to add to our school beautification and history.
Choose your custom inscription. Honor a student, a teacher, a staff member! Share your favorite quote!
