OWS Yearbooks are still available

Did you purchase a 2018-19 Yearbook? There are still some for sale in the office if you would like one. The cost is $20.

Thank you, Ashley Wilson, for all of the hard work you put into these! They are a beautiful, precious memory of the year for our kids.

As a note, two photos of Hearthcare, from Ms. Michiko, were placed inadvertently on the second page of the Little Violet Preschool pages: the photo in the upper-righthand corner (a Huckleberry KG child is pulling a cart with a Little Violet child sitting in it) and the photo with three girls (two Little Violet children and one Sunflower KG child) sitting on a carpet wearing crowns and capes. Thank you.

Don't forget to collect photos for this year! Photos may be sent to throughout the year. Please indicate the grade they represent or mark them for the mixed-grade snapshot pages. Thank you!
Wednesday Clubs
We are happy to announce we have a few Wednesday early release clubs in the works!

Dungeons and Dragons! Ages 12 and up will be hosted by Mike DeWitt every other Wednesday. We need at least 4 to sign up to get started. If you are interested please contact

4H is also in the early stages. We need a few parents who are interested to get this started.  If you have experience in 4H it would be wonderful to have you! Even if you don't have experience but have a passion for something please let us know. This is for grades 1-8 and depending on interest could meet weekly.  Parents: if you are interested please contact Once we have interest from parents we will then open it up to have children join.

More to come!  Rest assured, your children will continue to be well cared for by the aftercare staff if they choose not to join a club.

If you are interested in hosting a club at the school you know who to contact!
School Store
Our lovely school store is open and we would love to sell your handmade goods. Do you have handmade items that you think might sell well to other OWS families? We have limited space, so please contact Mandy as soon as possible.

If you are interested in purchasing items from the store please ask the office to open the cabinet for you. All forms of payment will be accepted in the office.

And lastly, what would you like to see the store sell? Toys, gifts, more art supplies?
Family Library

We are excited to announce a new school library! The library is located on top of the family cubbies along with check-out instructions. Books may be borrowed for 30 days and we are always taking your book donations!

Please see the front office for any questions!

The Calendar of the Soul

Unceasingly itself creating,
Soul life becomes aware of self;
The cosmic spirit, striving on,
Renews itself by self-cognition,
And from the darkness of the soul
Creates the fruit of self-engendered will.

The Calander of the Soul by Rudolf Steiner
