Start the fall off right...

October in Provincetown

October in Provincetown is a month filled with inclusivity, expressivity, and creativity. There are events for the arts and LBGT communities as well as over Columbus Day Weekend and Halloween. Opportunities for relaxing days and social evenings are everywhere in this beautiful fall month on the Cape.
October 3rd - 7th will feature the Mates Leather Weekend, an event that brings together people who are looking to socialize and party with like-minded and leather-wearing peers. The event was specially chosen for the cooling fall weather so you can comfortably enjoy all the sights of Provincetown in your leather, rubber, or uniform.
The Provincetown Art Association and Museum’s Annual Gala is on October 5th from 5 p.m. to midnight. This year’s theme is Form Follows Function, as a celebration of the Bauhaus ideology’s 100th anniversary. Tickets include a cocktail reception, dinner, dessert, and The Bauhaus Ball, an after-party with dancing and entertainment.
October 12th and 14th will be the Monumental Yard Sale Weekend with deals and sales at every corner. Both retail shops and home owners will feature wares of all sorts. Whether you are looking for a costume for an upcoming event or hoping to catch a great deal on a unique piece of art, you will enjoy the shopping and amazing sales. The yard sale also overlaps with Columbus Day Weekend, a long weekend that brings in vacationers who are looking for an extra day to enjoy all that Provincetown has to offer.
October features one of the biggest events of the year, the 35th Annual Women’s Week. From October 14th-20th, female performers of all kinds will gather in Provincetown, creating a culturally rich week of entertainment and enjoyment for attendees. With over 150 different events, including singers, actresses, comedians, and much more, Women’s Week is both an opportunity to celebrate women as well as the perfect time to socialize, relax, and take in the Town. All the best that this Town has to offer, such as art, theater, parties, and an inclusive community, are on full display this week.
October 20th - 27th is another week dedicated to celebrating diversity with Fantasia Fair, a week-long transgender event that has been an annual staple since 1975. Fantasia Fair offers trans and nonbinary people, as well as their partners and families, the opportunity to not just be accepted but celebrated. The week is host to workshops, shared meals, talks, and dancing. Provincetown has been and continues to be the perfect venue for the trans community to gather and enjoy a sense of community.
