The Board and Executive Director of Shelter SA wanted to gain a broad cross-section of stakeholder input into the performance and effectiveness of our organisation. The Executive Director proposed an innovative method based on the 360-degree concept traditionally applied to individual performance.
In the previous edition
of Housing Matters, we showed you the results of our performance across seven key strategic areas. This week we highlight one of those areas - "Advocacy", which was nominated by stakeholders as Shelter SA's greatest strength. Some quotes from our stakeholders include:
“Strong in getting attention on issues through the media who will generally approach Shelter SA for a viewpoint.”
“Injects humanity into public policy considerations on housing.”
Policy was also seen as an area of strength for Shelter SA. Stakeholders commented that we provide “in-depth submissions to government and local Council” and that “evidence-based policy is essential as the basis for any advocacy”.
More to come in the next edition of Housing Matters!
