Dear Families of Drama Club Members,

Tomorrow, Saturday, June 1, is a very important day for our drama club members.  We will have a long practice from 9:00 to noon to fine tune our performance of Jack and the Beanstalk. Although we have practiced after school many times, we have never been able to get through the entire play within our practice time.  In addition, with several snow days, my absence due to the death of my son-in-law, student illnesses, sporting practices, and a variety of other situations, there has not been a single time when we have been able to have all drama club members present for a practice.  Besides this, on Saturday the children will receive an amended script for the last section of the play that moves the play along faster and includes some new music. This is why I beseech you to let your child attend this practice.  Can’t stay for the whole time?  Then, please let your child stay for as long as possible, or, if necessary, even come late, but come!

On a related note, as with our winter performance, we would like to offer some snacks to our guests during a short intermission.  If you could please send in brownies, cupcakes, popcorn, and similar treats to school on Wednesday, June 5, it would be greatly appreciated.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.

Mrs. Phyllis Hammang
Drama Club Director
Hi Parents,
I would like to introduce you to Jacob Bristol who is currently attending Subiaco Academy, a Catholic, college prep, boarding school in the Benedictine Tradition.  He is here for the summer and would like to help us start a running club for our students with the end goal of starting a cross country and track program as our school grows.  Jacob runs cross country and track for Subiaco under the guidance of his coach Brother Raban Heyer. Father Mark and I would like to be involved but we would like to encourage parents to assist and be involved to help us promote good health and the many virtues that can be developed through the discipline of athletics.  Below is a note from Jacob along with some dates that will help us get our club started.  Please contact me or Jacob directly if you have any questions.    (517) 898-7912 -or-
"Hello parents and students,
With the school year ending and the summer beginning, Saint Mary's school is creating a running club to help young students be active over the summer. This club is open to all students who are interested. Each child will be given the same opportunity to run with a team. Students will also discover the physical and spiritual opportunities running offers. The goal is to transition the club into a cross country team to run in the Fall. Please come out and support us!                                     -Jacob Bristol"
