The Europe Center October 2017
STUDENT NEWS
Congratulations to our first European Studies Minor, Sergio Rebeles '17
Sergio Rebeles graduated in June with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Global Studies in European Studies. Sergio found that complementing his classwork in the hard sciences with European Studies courses and study abroad in Madrid and Paris enriched his education. Sergio chose the European Studies minor for its "flexibility and interdisciplinary/comparative focus." Read more about Sergio's experiences as a European Studies minor.
Interns report on experiences in Europe
Each summer The Europe Center sponsors undergraduate interns at Belgium-based international think-tanks and the European Parliament. Students focus on institutional change, economic policy, and strategic issues facing Europe. As part of his internship at the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE), Ben Gardner-Gill worked on legislation for the Culture and Education Committee and grappled with the concept of European Identity.
