Mediterranea Restaurant & Bakery has been the talk of Grant Park since they opened earlier this year in a beautifully renovated space inside an old trolley stop on Ormond Street.  The delicious and healthy menu has gotten the attention of foodies around town, too. So you’ll be happy to know that Mediterranea is a proud sponsor of the 2017 Candlelight Tour of Homes, and even happier to know that they’re celebrating the Tour by giving away two dinners for four people each, including wine!

Everybody who purchases* an advance ticket for the 2017 Grant Park Candlelight Tour of Homes (including our VIP Experience tickets) through Friday, December 8 will be entered into a drawing for one of two gift certificates for dinner at Mediterranea Restaurant & Bakery.  Don’t worry!  If you have already purchased your 2017 Candlelight Tour of Homes tickets, you have been automatically entered into the drawing.

We will draw the names of two winners on Saturday, December 9.  Each winner will receive a gift certificate valued at $250.00, enough for a dinner for four including wine!

You can peruse the Mediterranea menu here

Trolley Shuttle Service
Our Presenting Sponsor, Floor & Decor, has generously provided two trolley buses to shuttle visitors to the homes and stops on the Grant Park Candlelight Tour of Homes. Catch a trolley for free at St. Paul UMC, 501 Grant St., SEAtlantaGA 30312, or at any of the stops along the tour!

In the past, tour-goers typically drove to each of the tour homes and stops along the tour route, but with the new trolley shuttle service in 2017, we expect parking at and around St. Paul United Methodist Church (tour headquarters and origination point) to be extremely limited.

Please consider carpooling or using a ride share service to the Tour.  You may also consider driving to one of the tour stops after you pick up your tour booklet at St. Paul UMC; you can catch and ride the shuttle from there and then back to your car after you complete the tour.

Food Truck Available During Candlelight Tour

We’re excited to announce Meatballerz food truck will be parked beside St. Paul UMC on Sydney Street for both nights of the Candlelight Tour.  If you feel peckish before or after the tour, feed your hunger while you wait for the trolley.

Cara and Catherine Della have dedicated themselves to helping people fall in love with the meatball again. Each meatball is hand rolled, using only the highest quality ingredients including locally sourced butcher meat, fresh herbs, fine Italian cheeses, and custom baked bread prepared exclusively for Meatballerz. They use an age-old Italian recipe passed down from generation to generation that remains true to the old world method of meatball making.

Instead of recreating the meatball, they decided to improve the way you eat it.  Hence, the ball-in-a-hole concept.  A fresh baked Italian boule is cut to create a lid on the top and stuffed with a giant meatball.  It is then topped with their signature Italian red gravy and shredded mozzarella cheese and baked to crispy perfection.  Say goodbye to messy, soggy, meatball sandwiches. The unique design of the ball-in-a-hole makes this meatball sandwich easy to eat unlike the meatball subs of the past.

In addition to meatball sandwiches, Meatballerz offers a variety of homemade Italian style street foods like hand-stretched Sicilian pizzas, pasta bowls, and more.
