On Friday 23th of November 2018, the 5th TransplantChild Board of the Network took place in the St-Luc Hospital (Brussels). During this event, the TransplantChild members worked together on the ongoing tasks of the working groups, as well as received information on the current status of the ERNs in relation to the 4th Conference of ERNs. Also, they also had the opportunity to share knowledge on good practices to promote quality and safety of the patient, as well as promoting cross-sectional research in pediatric transplantation.

This month we would like to extend our thanks to members of Karolinska University Hospital and Hôpital Necker-Enfants malades for their collaboration and contribution during the training of the platforms available for virtual consultation and collaboration among Europe.  

First course “Hot topics in pediatric transplantation (solid organ and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation)”  

This e-learning activity is intended for an international audience of healthcare providers (HCP) working in pediatric transplantation, specifically including pediatricians, transplant surgeons, gastroenterologists, hepatologists, hematologist-oncologists, primary care physicians, nurses and health staff involved in psychological and social care.  The goal of this activity is to improve HCP knowledge of major issues in pediatric solid organ transplantation (SOT) and hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation (HSCT).
