1st Meeting of TransplantChild Patients Associations and Eurordis  
14th December of 2018

Last Friday 14th of December Hospital Laz Paz in Madrid held the I Meeting of Patients Associations of TransplantChild. This meeting was promoted by EURORDIS and their patients’ representatives through the European Patient Advocacy Groups (ePAGs).

Thanks to Eurordis, this meeting gathered representatives of patients associations from 4 different countries along with clinicians and patients. The Scope of the Network and the contribution of patients in ERN TransplantChild were the main topics of the morning sessions. The priorities of the patients’ subcommittees, and work and responsibilities distribution for next year took up most of the afternoon time.

  


The meeting also counted with the social point of view and the patient and family experience.

Helpdesk support On-site training in December 2018

This month we would like to extend our thanks to members of Ospedale Pediátrico Bambino Gesù and Azienda Ospedaliera di Padova  for their collaboration and contribution during the training of the platforms available for virtual consultation and collaboration among Europe.  

First course “Hot topics in pediatric transplantation (solid organ and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation)”  


This e-learning activity is intended for an international audience of healthcare providers (HCP) working in paediatric transplantation, specifically including paediatricians, transplant surgeons, gastroenterologists, hepatologists, hematologist-oncologists, primary care physicians, nurses and health staff involved in psychological and social care.  The goal of this activity is to improve HCP knowledge of major issues in pediatric solid organ transplantation (SOT) and hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation (HSCT).
