During the celebration of Spanish National Transplantation day on March 27th 2019, La Paz University Hospital held the event with health professionals and transplanted patients exposing their cases.  The day finished with a motorbike concentration in the hospital main square, with the purpose of making noise and let many balloons fly at the same time.

The last 18th of March 2019, the Presidency of the Government of Spain has held a meeting with more than 150 representatives of the field of science, research, and innovation. During the event, Mr. Pedro Sanchez, President of the Government, considered the promotion of science as "crucial" for the commitments that Spain has acquired as a country with the Agenda 2030 of the United Nations. Dr. Jara participated in an event highlighting European Reference Networks for the promotion of health in patients and encouraging European research and collaboration.

           

This month we would like to extend our thanks to members of Ospedale Papa Giovanni XXIII and Hannover Medical School Medizinische Hochschule Hannover (MHH) for their collaboration and contribution during the training of the platforms available for virtual consultation and collaboration among Europe.

The 1st Training on Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) took place in Ospedale Papa Giovanni XXIII in Bergamo, Italy, on the 6th of March.

The main aim of this course is addressing training for medical professionals in the area of paediatric transplantation (PT) with a cross-cutting approach that allows a multidisciplinary view of most relevant topics in the phases of transplant and the practical knowledge to better clinical practices. This course provides skills to perform a common and transversal approach to all types of PT procedure. The latest information on the donor graft optimisation and engineering, new tools of patient allograft tolerance, and families, patient and healthcare team psychosocial care will enable participants to review and update in paediatric transplantation.
