Dear Friends,

Good morning, and happy Saturday. Please take a moment to read our updates from Annapolis this week.
LEGISLATIVE UPDATES
You can track all of my legislation here

✔️This week, we had the Public Facilities Bond Hearing, during which I presented my package for St. Mary's County for $56 million, which includes the funding for a YMCA in my district. This is the dollar amount and project list that was originally requested by the St. Mary's County Board of County Commissioners.

✔️The Cannabis Reform package was voted out of Economic Matters yesterday and will now move to the House floor. To track this legislation, click here.
EVENTS
It was great to see so many people from home at the Southern Maryland Legislative Reception. Thank you to all those who made the trip to Annapolis to advocate for local interests!
For Read Across America Day yesterday, we were lucky enough to have Elmo visit the State House. MSEA was on hand to collect books for our annual book collection, through which we donated hundreds of books to a local organization that provides them to children in need of a great book. I donated Moon, a peek-through picture book that teaches about the phases of the moon.
