Dearest Friends of Albertine,
The summer sun is in its twilight, we’ve all drunk our bodyweight in rosé and thank the Lord the kids are back at school!!

It’s true that Everybody loves the sunshine, but we at Albertine have always been more Autumnal in soul, and to herald the arrival of our purple patch we’ve put together a mixed palette of rip-roaring events for your delectation…

Wine Tasting Wednesday!

Journey with us as your host & tutor Rob compares and discuses
noble grapes from across the globe: a Riesling from Marlborough will face a classic Kabinett from Reinghau, Pinot Noir from Alto Adige will be put against its American cousin, silky Syrah from Rhone and from Langhorne Creek will wrap up the tasting.

Leave your preconceptions at the door - open mind essential!

Tickets are £30, including wine-matching canapés.

Booking essential as Rob’s tastings are always sell out!

Saturday Night Lounge
with Natasha Cook Jenkins

The summer may be drawing to a close, our wellies may be water-logged and our tents may have seen better days, but the festival magic continues over at Albertine thanks to our Natasha, who will be curating a series of music nights for us starting on the Saturday, 22nd September.

The 18 year old found fame when she was spotted busking on Buchanan Street in Glasgow by legendary record producer & musician Tony Visconti. Having worked with the likes of T.Rex, Thin Lizzy and David Bowie, we can safely say that Tony knows talent when he hears it and we can’t wait for Natasha to take the stage at Albertine at the end of the month. Since then she has become an internet phenomenon, with her youtube channel being hit by almost 12 million views, invitations from festivals around the world raining in and a documentary for Art Net in the pipeline.

By the way, the performances are free so "Sae yer bunsens" for the wine, as Natasha would say.

New work by Critical Decor and Toby Morgan on the walls

Back in August, we told you we’d had an art attack, inviting
internationally renowned artist and Friend of Albertine, Toby Morgan and the art collective Critical Decor to give our 1st floor restaurant a makeover. "Arrows, 2018" has literally just been shot at the walls; here is a sneak peak for now, as like with good wine, we think art is best experienced in person and without too much introductions. Toby is still working on a humongous canvas that will be hung "when is ready", says l'artiste

The upstairs restaurant reopens on Thursday, at 6PM

Art apart, we are reopening the first floor restaurant after our summer recess with a suitably seasonal menu that we’re all excited about. After much researching and tasting we are bringing you the very best late Summer has to offer.
Fresh corn polenta, mushrooms, Uva Fragola (that wild strawberries tasting grape Florentine bakers use to stud their focaccias with this time of the year), radicchio, sweetbreads and fresh gnocchi will all have their moment in the sunshine.

Due to it’s bijou-ness booking is recommended via the website or by calling the bar.

Albert’s Café by Right to Roam

In celebration of our very unique “Eastenders connection”, on the
third Sunday of every month, Albertine will be taken over by local cult pop-up Right to Roam, transforming it into Albert's Café!

If your summer plans costa-del-criminally kept you away from the
first instalment of @itsrighttoroam’s residency at Albertine, forget
your holiday snaps and feast your eyes on what you missed with the scrumptious shots taken by @teuchterlife attached for which Albert went Japanese.

With Right to Roam’s star man Ed Bernard fronting the gaff, guest chefs will take turns to do a brunch from wherever in the world their heart takes them.

Up next is Albertine’s chef Helen Graham, who brings us breakfast from the Middle East featuring a 3 course feast - details to be released next week when ticket sales open.

Keep your Sunday October 21st free!!

New Lunch Offers

Forget your “Flying Sausages” a la Grange Hill, our bangers are
bangin’ and our lunch offers are packed with a punch!

With a sandwich du jour at £5.50, a Prix Fixe menu at £12 and a blackboard of Wine Deals refreshed every week, lunchtime at Albertine has never been such a good value.

Thursday and Fridays 12-3pm.
